Park Royal Hotel, Hyderabad: A Mixed Experience

Park Royal Hotel : A mIXED reVIEW

Over All Experience

Recently, I stayed at Park Royal Hotel in Secunderabad for a day. While the service was commendable with very active staff, several areas left me disappointed.

To start with, there was no in-house restaurant. Although there was a small menu available from a partnered restaurant, I chose not to order from it. The one positive aspect was the staff’s assistance with outside food delivery. They were kind enough to have the delivery person bring the food right to my room, sparing me the trouble of going down to collect it.

The Room

The room I booked was in the normal category and was quite small. Since I was only staying for the night, this didn’t bother me much. However, for a longer stay, I would have considered upgrading, provided that option was available. The bedding was acceptable but could have been better. One major issue was the hygiene. I found a tobacco spit mark on the wall inside the room, which would have gone unnoticed if I hadn’t placed my bag near it. This really bothered me and made me reconsider staying at this hotel again.

The Bathroom

The bathroom was another disappointment. It was extremely small, and I have never encountered such a cramped bathroom in any hotel before. The toilet seat was unusually high, which seemed like a construction or plumbing fault. Despite changing rooms due to a broken almirah door in the first room, the bathroom issues remained the same, indicating a consistent problem across rooms.

This bothered me and made me reconsider staying at this hotel again. In Secunderabad there are so many great options too for which keep watching this space I am gonna spill all the tea very soon in here for all of you.

Pricing

Regarding pricing, Secunderabad is a tier-one city, and this hotel’s location in Secunderabad was convenient for my client’s visit. I couldn’t find any good 4 or 5-star hotels in the area, perhaps because it was situated too far inside. At around 3k per night, the price seemed reasonable, especially given the proximity to my client’s location, which saved me travel time and avoided traffic jams.

Conclusion

Overall, while the service and location were positive aspects, the hygiene and room size were significant drawbacks. The small bathroom and high toilet seat added to the discomfort. For a night’s stay, it was manageable, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a longer duration.
