Diva Patong Phuket Hotel Review

When planning my trip to Phuket, I wanted to stay somewhere that offered a balance of comfort, accessibility, and good vibes. I found exactly that at Diva Patong Hotel. Located just a 10-minute walk from the famous Central Shopping Centre and Patong Market, this hotel turned out to be a great pick for my trip. Here’s my story and detailed review of my stay.

Diva Patong Phuket Hotel Review

Location: Great for Indian Travelers

One of the biggest advantages of staying at this  is a location. If you’re an Indian like me and miss the taste of home, you’ll be delighted to know that there’s a Haldiram restaurant right opposite the hotel. The food was just what I needed after long days of exploring, and the best part? Most of the staff at the hotel and the restaurant are Indian, so communication was effortless.

The only minor hiccup was that the restaurant doesn’t offer room service. You have to go downstairs, place your order, and wait. While it was a bit inconvenient, sitting in the restaurant and soaking in the lively atmosphere made up for it.

Rooms: Vintage Vibes with Modern Comforts

The rooms here are designed with a vintage aesthetic, featuring rocky-textured walls that give them a unique character. The size of the room was decent, and the balcony was a pleasant addition. I spent many evenings there, sipping coffee and enjoying the pool view.

However, the bathroom was a bit of a letdown. It was incredibly compact—barely 1.5 feet wide with just enough space for a basin and a toilet. I couldn’t help but think that if they had made the balcony a little smaller, they could have added much-needed space to the bathroom.

One small issue was the lighting inside the room. It was so dim that I often had to use my phone’s torch to look for things in my luggage. This was a significant drawback for me, but not enough to ruin the overall experience.

Amenities: A Relaxing Escape

The place offers a good range of amenities. The swimming pool was a highlight of my stay. Officially, the pool is open from 8 AM to 10 PM, but the staff was accommodating enough to let us take a dip past closing time. I loved this gesture—it showed how willing they were to make our stay special.

There’s also a pool table at the reception area and a small gym with a treadmill and some basic equipment. It’s not a full-fledged fitness center, but it’s enough if you want to get a quick workout in.

Nearby Attractions and Tips

One of the things I appreciated was the bike rental service offered by the hotel. On our first night, we were charged 100 Baht extra because we were hungry, tired, and didn’t feel like exploring other options. But the next day, we found better deals just 100-150 meters outside the hotel, with bike rentals costing only 300 Baht for a full day. My advice: step out and explore your options—it’s worth it.

Right opposite the hotel is a small spa. It’s not a fancy or premium spa, but I decided to try it out since it was so close. To my surprise, the massage was excellent. The therapist was skilled, and after an hour, I felt completely rejuvenated.

Staff and Service: Warm and Welcoming

The staff at Diva Patong Hotel deserve a special mention. They were always friendly, attentive, and willing to accommodate special requests, like extending the pool hours. This level of hospitality made my stay even more enjoyable.

The Verdict

Here’s a quick breakdown of what I loved and what could be improved:

Pros:

  • Convenient location, especially for Indian travelers.
  • Vintage-style rooms with cozy balconies.
  • Great amenities like the pool, gym, and pool table.
  • Warm and accommodating staff.

Cons:

  • Small bathrooms.
  • Dim room lighting.
  • Slightly overpriced bike rentals if you book through the hotel.

Would I stay here again? Absolutely! Despite the few drawbacks, Diva Patong Hotel offers an excellent experience at a reasonable price. It’s a place where you can relax, enjoy good food, and feel at home while exploring the lively streets of Patong.

I’d rate my stay a 4 out of 5 stars, mainly because of the bathroom and lighting issues. But overall, it was a memorable experience, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a mix of comfort, charm, and convenience in Patong.

If you’re planning a trip to Patong, give Diva Patong Hotel a try. I promise you’ll have a story to tell!
